De Europese timeshare-industrie staat op instorten. Reisbeperkingen hebben bijna alle Europese timeshare-resorts gedwongen hun verkoopdek te sluiten. Reisverboden in combinatie met oneerlijke onderhoudskosten, in rekening gebracht door de resorts in een tijd dat reizen onmogelijk was, hebben geleid tot een enorme toestroom van timeshare-eigenaren die afstand hebben gedaan van hun timesharing.<\/p>\n

Timeshare-resorts hebben een groot deel van hun leden verloren, terwijl ze geen enkele nieuwe klant hebben gekregen. Hierdoor is een sneeuwbaleffect ontstaan, waardoor meer leden afstand willen doen van hun timeshare. Dit is te wijten aan het feit dat de verdeelde beheerskosten stijgen om de kosten te dekken van de ex-leden die niet langer verantwoordelijk zijn.<\/p>\n

Vermijd timesharevakanties in 2021<\/h4>\n

Veel timeshare-resorts zijn al gesloten omdat er simpelweg niet genoeg geld te verdienen is. De overige resorts zullen wanhopig zijn om meer klanten binnen te halen, aangezien dit de manier zou zijn om de jaarlijkse contributie van hun huidige leden te verlagen. Timeshare-resorts kosten hetzelfde om te draaien als er 100 leden of 1000 leden zijn. Het zijn de leden die de verdeelde kosten betalen om het resort te beheren.<\/p>\n

Harde verkoop<\/h4>\n

We zullen waarschijnlijk harde verkooptactieken terug zien komen in de timeshare-industrie. De verkopers zijn onderbetaald en het is tijd om hun commissie te verdienen. Als ze geen nieuwe klanten kunnen binnenhalen, zullen ze waarschijnlijk proberen hun huidige leden te upgraden.<\/p>\n

Geen exclusiviteit<\/h4>\n

Resorts zullen hun accommodatie gaan verhuren via goedkope hotelboekingswebsites. Dit is oneerlijk ten opzichte van de eigenaars, aangezien deze veel meer aan jaarlijkse beheerskosten betalen dan waarvoor het publiek de accommodatie online kan boeken.<\/p>\n

Hotel Sluiting<\/h4>\n

Wees voorbereid op hotel sluitingen. We hebben dit gezien bij vele resorts op de Canarische Eilanden en Costa del Sol en ze zullen geen waarschuwing geven. Timeshare-eigenaren kwamen naar hun accommodatie om te ontdekken dat het hotel gesloten was. Als u een timeshare heeft, raden we u aan een reserveaccommodatie te boeken en regelmatig contact op te nemen met uw resort om erachter te komen of ze nog actief zijn.<\/p>\n
